Cancon 2015 - 28mm results

Post by starkadder on Fri Jan 30, 2015 3:22 am

These are the number results and awards from the Cancon 2015 - 28 mm Impetus Event. This event was run differently to other such events. The emphasis was on factors other than a simple win/loss action or numbers. The organiser (me) wanted to emphasise the ethos we are attempting to develop in Oz.

Games were played to decision or agreement. Style and attitude towards play were also critical. Five of these players were in their first tournament so we regarded it as more important to show grace and a helping hand in their enjoyment of the event.

1 Dave Angelosante   Norse Irish                      486 "Potestas"
2 Richard Mirabello    Papal States                     392 "Magister Militum"
3 Ralph Hawker         Ayyubid                           372 "Dignitas"
4 Richard Tartt          Athenian Hoplites             363 "Auctoritas"
5 Scott Driscoll          Mid-Republican Romans    335 "Audax"
6 Steven O'Brien       Yorkists                            165 "Best Camp"
7 Alan Knight            Konstantinian Byzantines     29
8 Stanley Crabbe      Early Imperial Roman          26 "Rapax"

Grant Tighe, Chris Mantzakos and Ron Trainer all played on one day only. I also played in two rounds as we had an odd number on Day Two due to illness.
