Romans vs Sassanids 8 player game

Impetus in 15mm scale with 8 players.  Worked well.

Impressive - right mixture of veteran figures and newer models Smile

But, but where are the baggage camps?

How did you handle the multiplayer aspect?

Thanks.

The game designer decided not to have baggage.

Each player had a command. Worked out well, but in a previous game I found getting players to focus was a bit of a challenge as when their command wasn't engaged they would wander off for a chat, drink (where we play has a fully stocked bar) or smoke. But this game seemed to move quickly enough that everyone hung around the table. A few commands were able to move simultaneously without effecting course of play and that helped, plus some commands didn't do much (the Visigoths for example and my Sassanid command).
