Italian earthquake

Post by dadiepiombo on Wed Aug 24, 2016 3:44 pm

Not a good day here in Italy. As probaby you have read tonigh at around 3.30 a quake hit central Italy, particularly the town of Amatrice (probably you you know about amatriciana sauce, it comes from this place that is full of turists in this period).
For those who have missed the news here the CNN link http://edition.cnn.com/2016/08/23/europe/italy-earthquake-live-blog/index.html

Fortunatly none of my friends was involved, but many living not far away were awaked by the quake. It is really sad to see the news and the death toll rising.

Awful how this is unfolding with the loss of lives. After the L'Aquila quake in '09 as well it seems like a very cruel hand has been dealt here. Terrible.
